Remember there is a part that says “it is the time you wasted on your rose that makes your rose so important”.
We build relationships, “tamed” each other & that is what make us so special to your loved ones, your friends & your family. We are not merely another human being been banished to Earth. Thus, each & everyone of us is special.
And before landing on Earth, The Little Prince visited 6 other planets with each a sad story to tell. Like the king who only have a old rat as his subject, a conceited man who love to hear praises but there is nobody on his planet, a drinker who drinks to forget about his drinking.
Eventually for his rose, The Little Prince decided to leave Earth, the supposedly most reputable planet, to where he came from, the up above. He asked the snake to bite him & he died. The Little Prince to the narrator, “i shall seems to be dead but it will not be true”.
I thought, indeed it is a good “children” book to kick-start some serious thinking about the adult world.
